The free download is available here for subscribers, but it comes with restrictions that every artist should understand before recording.
What you get with the free beat download
The free version of "LANDED" is a tagged instrumental that you can use for non-profit purposes only. That means you can record a freestyle, post it on YouTube or SoundCloud with no monetization, and credit STORM. The beat is delivered as a tagged file, so the producer's tag will be audible throughout the track. The free download is intended for subscribers and is not licensed for streaming platforms such as Spotify or Apple Music. If you later decide to release the song commercially, you will need to upgrade to the paid license.
Paid license vs free beat: key differences
The paid untagged license removes the vocal tag and allows for-profit use, including streaming and monetized videos. Here is a direct comparison:
- Free tagged version: non-profit use only, tagged audio, YouTube/SoundCloud only, no streaming services.
- Paid untagged version: for-profit use, untagged audio, distribution on all platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
STORM offers a buy one get one free deal on all beats in his BeatStars store, so if you purchase the untagged license for "LANDED", you can get another beat at no extra cost. This makes the paid option more attractive for artists planning multiple releases.
Beat specifications and style
"LANDED" is a trap type beat with a hard, freestyle-friendly character. The tempo is 174 BPM and the key is G minor, as confirmed by STORM in the video description. This combination gives the beat an energetic, aggressive feel that suits fast-paced rap and trap flows. The instrumental includes booming 808s, crisp hi-hats, and dark melodic elements typical of modern trap. It is designed for freestyle sessions as well as structured songwriting. The beat is part of STORM's 2026 catalog and is tagged as a hard type beat, free rap instrumental, and freestyle beat.
How to use the beat legally
To use "LANDED" legally, follow these steps:
- Decide whether your release will be monetized or non-profit.
- For non-profit use, download the tagged version for free and credit STORM in the description.
- For for-profit use, purchase the untagged license from the BeatStars link.
- Keep a copy of your license for your records.
- Do not upload the free version to streaming services or monetize it on any platform.
The free version is explicitly not available for streaming services, so any upload to Spotify or Apple Music requires the paid license. STORM's terms are clear: the free beat is for YouTube or SoundCloud use with no monetization.
Common questions from the community
Many viewers ask about the legitimacy of re-uploaded beats and whether the free version can be used on streaming platforms. The answer is straightforward: the free version is for non-profit use only, and any commercial release requires a paid license. Some users also wonder about the quality of the mix; STORM's beats are known for their clean, professional sound, which is why they attract freestylers and songwriters alike. Another frequent question is whether the beat can be used for freestyle battles or cyphers; as long as it is non-profit, the free version is suitable. For any for-profit event, purchase the untagged license.
